BIO-AOPs

AOPs (Advanced oxidation processes) are advanced oxidation reactions that use oxidants (O3, H2O2, etc.) or energy (UV) or catalysts (TiO2) to produce hydroxyl radicals (˙OH).

 

Hydroxyl radicals(˙OH) have a very good effect in eliminating organic substances and toxins.

AOPs are often used in wastewater treatment to remove organic residues from water. At the same time, the reaction products are safe and do not cause secondary contamination problems.

 

However, hydroxyl radicals (˙OH) are too powerful for oxidation, and at the same time, organisms lack countermeasures, and often break down toxins and harm organisms.

(This is also the reason why most of the oxidizers and oxygenators on the market cannot be used in "living" environments)

 

BIO-AOPs are hydroxyl radicals (˙OH) replaced by superoxide radicals (O2-). Although the oxidizing power is reduced, it is safer and more biotolerant.

 

UNDINE is a technology that uses BIO-AOPs to catalyze oxygen into superoxide, which is used to remove toxins and organic waste from water, while being environmentally and biologically safe.

UNDINE A quickly decomposes toxins and organic matter in aquaculture ponds. It is very useful for the biological and microalgae in aquaculture ponds.

 

 


 

UNDINE enhances the oxygen in water into Superoxide, which has higher oxidizing power and better efficiency, accelerating the degradation of oxygen and removing organic waste from water and subsoil.
 
UNDINE uses oxygen and light to control the release rate of superoxide.
Organisms have a higher tolerance to superoxide (superoxide dismutase (SOD) can be used to resist the effects of superoxide), so superoxide can break down toxins and organic matter in the water while reducing the impact on aquatic organisms.

The data increases rapidly from 4.4PPM to 14.6PPM, and finally reduces to 1.2PPM. At the beginning, dissolved oxygen becomes superoxide free radicals after adding UNDINE. As the oxidizing property in water increases, the data grows rapidly. Afterwards, the superoxide radicals attack the organic matter in water to decompose them and disappear, showing that UNDINE has a "bomb-like" feature.

Video description:

This is a case study of a customer using UNDINE P in clam breeding last year (2021).

The customer used 1ppm of UNDINE P (70g in 70 tons of water) for the period from trochophore to D-stage larvae, which is very important for the water quality control of the clam. According to the video, we can find that from the morning of 4/5 to the afternoon, there are many Trochophore larvae that have changed into D-type larvae. Generally, the conversion can be smooth only when the water quality is good.
